Oregon Flock & Fiber Festival

The Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival is a great, fun & fiber-filled weekend event held in Canby, Oregon the end of each September.  It showcases the fibers of goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas, and rabbits both through live shows and exhibits.  Other natural and plant fibers are also featured.  It is an outstanding event for fiber arts enthusiasts and their families.

Big Sky Fiber Arts Festival

The Big Sky Fiber Arts Festival is a fun, fiber-filled weekend event held at the Ravalli County fairgrounds in Hamilton, Montana in June of odd-numbered years.  It showcases both fiber arts vendors and fiber animal exhibitors, and is held in the picturesque locale of the Bitterroot Valley of northwest Montana.  Please check out their website.

 

Fantasy Fibers

Fantasy Fibers, located in Canby, Oregon, does complete custom fiber processing, including washing, dehairing, carding, blending, and spinning. They do an outstanding job...and I highly recommend them!

 

Spalding Fly Predators

During my first two summers of Pygora goat ownership, flies were a real nuisance in my barns.  I hung MANY, MANY fly tapes trying to give my goats some relief since I wasn't interested in using chemical pesticides. I was so pleased when I discovered Fly Predators!  They work great, and are a natural alternative to tapes and pesticides. 

 

Paradise Fibers

The Association of Northwest Weavers' Guilds

The Association of Northwest Weavers' Guilds is a non-profit organization supporting the Fiber Arts in the northwest US and western Canada. The primary focus of ANWG and Member Guilds is weaving but also includes spinning, felting and other fiber arts. Their website is a good source for information about fiber-related workshops, conferences, and other events held here in the Pacific Northwest.
